Author: Susan O'Meara
Susan O’Meara grew up in North East Victoria before heading to Melbourne for University. She
is a qualified teacher, who taught students of all ages before joining the federal Public Service
as a grant design lead. She has three children, an elderly dog called Harry, and will become
a grandparent for the first time later this year. Susan currently lives in Canberra in a home
backing onto the bush, which gives her the perfect mix between country and city life.

Yvonne Mes is a children’s author and illustrator based in Australia. She writes and illustrates
picture books, short stories and junior novels for children. A frequent speaker at schools and
writers festivals she uses her many years of experience as an early childhood professional to
ensure engaging, entertaining and educational sessions. Yvonne grew up in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, but has made her home in Australia. This is her fist time illustrating a picture book.
