In our open submissions we are looking for children's and young adult fiction manuscripts. Please note that we do not accept submissions for picture book manuscripts.
Yellow Brick Books publishes fun, quirky and engaging picture books and junior fiction.
Many of the works we publish are by debut and emerging writers and illustrators. Our focus is on Australian creators at this time.

Do you accept picture book manuscripts?
We do not accept picture book manuscripts via open submissions.
I have an agent and would like to submit a manuscript. How to I submit?
Please ask your agent to contact us.
Can I mail you a hardcopy of my manuscript?
We only accept electronic submissions. Any hardcopies delivered will be recycled.
How do I format my submission?
- Any standard font and spacing is accepted.
- Information sheet: Include the title, your name, the target reading age, a short biography (including any previous publishing experience), a one sentence 'pitch' for the story.
- Manuscript: A short overview of the story and the first three (3) chapters.
